ABOUT us

We’re Madison and Nic, partners in life, love, and restoration. We proudly steward The Ladies of the Court—three Painted Ladies Victorian homes built in 1896 and nestled in the heart of Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas. Since purchasing the properties in 2015, we’ve poured our time, creativity, and love into bringing these houses back to life while honoring every layer of their fascinating past.

Over the years, they’ve been everything from brothels to healing spas; today, they’re spaces where beauty, history, art and queer joy collide - a haven for artists, dreamers, and lovers. They have lived a dozen lives, and our dream is that they’ll live a dozen more. Their walls hold stories of transformation, resilience, and rebirth.

As a lesbian couple, creating safe, affirming, and welcoming environments is at the core of what we do. Two of our homes—Miss Fancy and Miss Scarlet—serve as Airbnbs designed with comfort, character, and inclusivity in mind. Miss Fancy also doubles as our photography studio, where feminist and femme-forward imagery comes to life. Our third home, Miss Lilly is our personal residence and the heart of our daily world… which we happily share with our seven beloved cats, each convinced they are the true owners of the estate.

We’re passionate about preserving the soul of these historic houses while offering spaces for connection, celebration, and rest. Whether you’re staying as an Airbnb guest, dreaming of a romantic escape, a creative session, or an unforgettable “I do,” we’d love to share our corner of Hot Springs National Park with you.

The house behind them is painted in pastel shades of blue, pink, and yellow, with decorative trim and a hanging ornament of green beads.
